A guide to finding your wedding accessories with Tilly Thomas Lux
I’ve had so many questions on Instagram recently about styling and advice on how to find the perfect wedding accessories and it’s something that comes up again and again so I thought I’d so a little post!
The most important thing is to figure out what sort of pieces you like. Get on instagram and Pinterest and go wild for a bit. Don’t restrict yourself at this stage in terms of styles as you never know where your imagination might take you! Keep a note of the things you like and a theme will start to emerge. It might be stars, it might be botanicals, or something super clean and simple. Don’t think you could rock a crown? Don’t rule it out! Once you have a good idea of what you like and what you’re aiming for then narrow down your inspiration to a few pictures to show me when we chat.
Welcome to a one overdue part 2 of our hair inspo series. I had such a lovely day with Sophie from The Mane Style earlier this week, creating loads more wedding hair inspiration using a mix of our hair pins, clips and crowns.
I designed the Hayworth Crown as part of the Regency collection. It’s a classic, Bridgerton inspired piece, with a signature TTL twist! I
This week’s #SparkleSpotlight is the perfect choice for low-key or registry office weddings. The Rita headband features a single row of sparkling crystal octagon chain, wrapped in white satin ribbon sits on a soft, comfortable band.
I’ve chosen the Lana Pearl Drop Necklace for #SparkleSpotlight this week as it’s been so popular with the brides who’ve come to visit the studio recently. This beautiful necklace features sparkly crystals and an assortment of fresh water pearl drops.
This week, we’re showcasing our Eos crown on #SparkleSpotlight. This piece is one of my favourites from the Sunburst collection. As with every TTL piece, it’s all handmade using a mixture of different components, all soldered together and then plated
This week’s #SparkleSpotlight is on Olivia. Headbands are having a real moment right now! They’re such a gorgeous choice for a registry office or low-key wedding, or you can also layer them with our crowns to create your own unique look.
Something to bear in mind when you’re looking, is finding the accessories to complement your wedding outfit. If you have a simple dress you might want to go all out on accessories. Equally, if your dress is full of detail you might prefer one of our lovely halo crowns, for example. There are no rules! For me, more is more and I love as much sparkle as I can get, but it’s very much a personal choice and I’ve worked with hundreds of brides over the years and can quickly get a sense of the direction you want to go in and tailor my selection accordingly.
Have a really good look at our website as we have so much choice! If you’re looking for something unique, we offer a bespoke service where you can work one-on-one with me to create a completely new piece from scratch. This is a lovely process and you can read all about it here. It’s also a great idea to look through our wonderful real brides as they are all so different and their weddings are full of inspiring details (see below and click on the thumbnail to read the article).
Remember this should be fun so don’t put any pressure on yourself. I know times are strange at the moment but hopefully dreaming of your wonderful wedding look brings some joy. I’m here if you need any advice. I can offer in person or virtual appointments and would love to talk through my collection with you and fill your day with a little bit - or a lot! - of sparkle.
Love,
Sally xxx
Huge congratulations to Rach and Alan on their recent wedding! The couple celebrated in the south of France and I’m obsessed with these images by Faye Wilde Photography. I loved working with Rach on her different looks and it’s so lovely to see how she styled our hair pins and crowns with her different dresses.

I’m so happy to share gorgeous bride Helen’s wedding pictures. Helen looks amazing in her wedding dress with it’s beautiful beading and I love how she’s swept her long, wavy hair to the side with our Selkie hair pins.
I was so excited when TTL bride Antea got in touch to share her wedding pictures with me. She looks so beautiful and so chic and her wedding looked absolutely perfect. She wore the Delphine crown layered with the Estelle headpiece and I love how amazing it looks with her wedding dress from The Own Studio.
I love helping brides with their wedding accessories and it’s so fun getting to know them and hearing all about their wedding. What’s even more fun is seeing the pictures of their vision brought to life. Beautiful bride Ailish looks amazing wearing…
Ok, so I’m obsessed with every detail of gorgeous couple Nikki and Dom’s wedding. Nikki’s dress is everything with its illusion top and statement back. Our Sophia earrings look amazing with the gown and I love Nikki’s Hollywood waves.
I love my brides so much! Stephanie came to see me in my London studio and I had the best time yalking through her wedding plans and helping her with her accessories, eventually choosing our Sophia crown.
You know I love a statement crown moment and gorgeous bride Tegen gave us exactly that! Tegen and Adam were married at The Rosevine in a vibrant, colourful celebration surrounded by their nearest and dearest.
I can’t tell you how much I love my brides! It’s amazing to play a part in their wedding day and create a piece of jewellery for them that they’ll love on the day, and forever.
It was so fab to see these images of Milly and Luke’s wedding when they popped up in my emails. Photographer Emma Moore was there to photograph their big day at Somerley House and I’m obsessed with the entire day!
Happy new year! I’ve said goodbye to 2022 and looking forward to what 2023 has to bring. I can't wait to meet my lovely new brides and so grateful for everyone who chose to wear TTL this year. One bride I was lucky enough to help is beautiful Elspeth.
I have another amazing wedding to share today! Anita and Tom’s wedding took place at Lillibrooke Manor & Barns and I’m so happy Anita wore one of my beautiful handmade crowns.
